Belief Statement
Our Guide is the Holy Bible. We believe the Bible is the written Word of God.
WE BELIEVE our ministry and church are part of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ established by God throughout the power and authority of the Holy Spirit originally birthed in the Day of Pentecost.
WE BELIEVE the Bible is a divine revelation given by God to men, and is complete as an infallible guide and reliable standard of authority in all matters of Christian faith and morals. What the Bible teaches is to be believed. What the Bible commands is to be obeyed. What the Bible commends (recommend as worthy of confidence) is to be accepted as both right and useful. What the Bible neither commands nor teaches is not to be imposed on the conscience of mankind as a religious obligation. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
The New Testament is the Constitution of Christianity and the charter of the Christian Church. The Bible is the only authoritative code of ecclesiastical law and the warrant and justification of all Christian institutions. In the New Testament are found the direction to life, the salvation message, and guidelines to righteous living. The letters written to the church are revelation of the grace and salvation available to those who believe. The messages in the Bible make plain the purpose of God, reassuring believers of the good news of the gospel of peace on earth as well as to offer hope to a lost world.
The Old Testament is also part of Christianity as all scriptures were given for inspiration and instruction. The entire Bible is important for every letter written in the Book of Life has meaning, purpose, and power. We believe that the Old Testament must be received through the light of the New Testament. The believer is always encouraged to welcome the entire truth available in the Word of God.
WE BELIEVE in no closed revelation. “God would surely have known it, for he knows the secrets of every heart” (Psalm 44:21 and Luke 8:17).
WE BELIEVE there is one God manifested in three Persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. God is an invisible Spirit (John 4:24 and Colossians. 1:15). Jesus is God; the invisible Spirit being manifested in the flesh for the benefit of humanity (John 1:14 and I Timothy 3:16). The Holy Ghost is God: He is the Spirit of God as manifested unto us by the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:26 and Acts 2:1-4).
WE BELIEVE in a full and free salvation as proclaimed unto all by Jesus Christ and practiced by the Early Apostolic Church on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:21 and Romans 10:13).
WE BELIEVE that Christ’s Ministry continues today under the leadership of the Holy Ghost through the obedience of the ‘Five-Fold Ministers’: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13 and I Corinthians 12:1-11).
WE BELIEVE in the atonement and redemption by the meritorious sacrifice of Christ (John 1:29 and Mark Chapter 16, Luke Chapters 22, 23, and 24).
WE BELIEVE justification by faith, not by works (Romans 3:28, 4:5, and 5:1). However, the fruit of justification can be seen in the believer’s everyday life through deeds; a sign of faith being put into action (James 2:26).
WE BELIEVE that Jesus is the author and the finisher of saving faith and sanctification (Hebrews 12:2).
WE BELIEVE in absolute spiritual regeneration unto true salvation. The Bible speaks of it as “You must be born again” (John 3:3-8, I Peter 1:23 and 1:3-5).
WE BELIEVE in the obedience to the Great Commission recorded in the Book of Mark 16:15: And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”
WE BELIEVE in the Power of Natural and Spiritual Baptism
Natural Water – A believer’s sign to the world of self-surrendering to God’s will and purpose according to the Book of Mark 16:16: “Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.”
Spiritual Fire – A deeper encounter in God’s presence that changes the believer’s heart into becoming more like God in deeds, transforming the character of the believer into God’s image. It is a promise to those that believe as noted in the Book of Luke 3:16: “… He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”
WE BELIEVE in the Holy Ghost filled life for the Believer. It is the endowment of power to equip the believer for a successful Christian walk according to Acts 2:38- 39, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:6
WE BELIEVE in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance: Acts 2:4; I Corinthians Chapters 12 and 14. Romans 12:6.
Gift of Impartation
The laying of hands as proclaimed in the Scriptures: Acts 8:17, 13:2-3 and 19:6, II Timothy 1:6.
Gift of Ministries
“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4:11). Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages” (I Corinthians 12:28-29).
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting: I Thessalonians 4:13-17 and I Corinthians 15:20-28.
WE BELIEVE that “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right” (II Timothy 3:16).
WE BELIEVE that God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself (Ephesians 1:22-23).
WE BELIEVE the pastor is the highest authority in the local church assembly under the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the head of the local fellowship and shepherd of the flock.
WE BELIEVE in God’s assignment of pastors. And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15).
WE BELIEVE in the importance of the pastor’s role in safeguarding the hearts of believers. So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders (Acts 20:28). Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God (I Peter 5:2).
WE BELIEVE that all helps, church governments and local church officers are to be under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the pastor.
